Edinburgh University Formula Student progress with LiDAR

We asked members of the Edinburgh University Formula Student (EUFS) team about what they have learnt about working with LiDAR. Mapix technologies have provided Velodyne LiDAR equipment and mentoring to the team for the past three seasons.  The University of Edinburgh team have been highly successful in the autonomous race car categories of the competition. They won at Silverstone in both 2018 and 2019. This season they are building their own electric powered, fully autonomous car for the first time.
